My Hobby - Essay Std.VI
Sometimes I wonder what I would do in my spare time if I did not have the wonderful hobby of reading.
Reading is so pleasurable that once I start reading I lose all sense of time, hunger and other activities. Reading takes me to different worlds, space travel, deep sea diving, horse riding in the mountains, a walk by the sea shore and so many other experiences. My hobby is my best friend, I am never alone now. I always have a good friend close to me, ...keeps me happy and cheerful all the time.
Reading has multiple benefits. It helps me improve my English language skills, improves my vocabulary and I am able to speak on many topics easily. My favourite reading materials are fiction or novels. I read important newspaper articles and some study related topics.
My parents also read a lot and they encouraged me to read by buying me books. I thank my parents for their support.
I share my books with my close friends, who like me, enjoy reading. I also gift my friends and cousins books so that they too may receive all the benefits, knowledge and wisdom I have received by reading. Reading is a hobby that must be developed by everyone.
